Schönfeld is a small town in the region „Salzburger Lungau“, about 1km away from the boarder to the other state Kärnten. In between the „Nock mountains“ (Nockberge) , the scenery in this area is particularly delightful.
You can still explore the history of mining in Schönau. You can learn a lot about the history of mining at the „Knappenwanderweg „(refer to hiking) or in the“Hochofenmuseum“ in Bundschuh (see excursions). |
